Chicken Stir Fry Recipes

I have collected a variety of chicken stir fry recipes here, something for everybody's taste.

My first few stir-fry attempts weren't all that great. So here are a few tips I would like to share.

  1. The vegetables must be a fresh as possible - so don't try and get rid of that limp cabbage in the back of the fridge by putting it in the stir-fry, people like my husband will always notice!

  2. Put the veggies with the firmest texture in the wok first.

  3. My old wonky electric stove never got hot enough, so we had soggy, “steamed” stir-fry until I started cooking it in batches and then adding everything to the wok when I added the sauce. So, yes the wok must be very hot and stay that way as you add the ingredients.

  4. And then my top tip - The recipes often call for the chicken to be sliced thinly. This is much easier to do when the chicken is slightly frozen to the point of being firm, but not rock solid.
